St Helena offers a range of good accommodation options. There are 3 hotels on the island currently, along with a number of guest houses, some bed & breakfast establishments as well as self-catering accommodation.
Advance booking of accommodation is a prerequisite when visiting the island. Demand is at a peak during the summer months, from December through to February, and particularly over the Christmas period. The Tourist Office has updated information regarding availability. It is recommended that you contact them at enquiries@tourism.co.sh for more detailed and up to date information and reservations.
Jamestown is a convenient location for exploring places of interest in and around town. Here you will experience the unhurried pace of island life while being in close proximity to James Bay harbour, shops, restaurant and pubs. Half Tree Hollow is the largest residential area on the island and accommodation here will most likely come with spectacular views. If you wish to really get away from it all, various accommodation options are scattered across the island in the countryside.
We regret that we can’t provide a comprehensive up-to-date list of accommodation providers, however below are links to the Tourism site where you can learn more about the various types of accommodation available on St Helena.
