Bread n’ Dance is actually tomato paste sandwiches, so named because they are always served at a dance, or other social event.
Bread ‘n Dance
Ingredients
450g fresh tomatoes or 400g tin of tomatoes
1 onion, finely chopped
1 chilli
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Cooking oil or butter parsley
2 rashers bacon, finely chopped (omit for a vegetarian version)
1 beaten egg
Method

Heat the oil in a frying pan

Add onions, chilli, bacon and herbs

Fry until soft then add tomatoes with juice, salt and sugar

Using a fork mash tomatoes

Simmer mixture until all the liquid has evaporated and you are left with a thick pulp

Stir in beaten egg until cooked

Remove from heat and cool

Store in the refrigerator

Serve in sandwiches
